3 tips to stay healthy during travels

When we spend some time off we tend to live less disciplined and more often we end up doing things that we wouldn’t do in everyday life. That’s alright and taking some time off your daily routine is a good thing to do from time to time. There are just a few things that might help you to regenerate faster and prevent you from returning home exhausted. You will find 3 tips to stay healthy during travels below.

Develop a travel routine.

We tend to sleep longer, stay up longer exploring, eating, drinking and partying – depending on our desires. That’s great! But sometimes this all might be too much for our body so it might be helpful to develop a routine of healthy habits. For my girlfriend that’s a short 10-15 minute yoga session every morning, for me it’s staying in bed and thinking about the plans for today.

Eat healthy.

It’s great to be abroad. Try all the food you like. Drink some local specialties. But do all of this in a reasonable amount. Don’t get drunk every time, do hydrate with water, especially when you’re at a warm place. Try to get at least one healthy meal per day with lots of vegetables, fruits and possibly meagre meat. Don’t get fast food every day –  and no, you don’t really need this second burger! 😉

Take a break

Sometimes your mind and body are exhausted. Exhausted from seeing new things, meeting new people, experiencing new places. It’s time for a break. Stay at a place you like and where you know some friends. Spend time with them, sleep, eat, relax and recharge your batteries.

Danke für die schönen Tipps. 🙂
